Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Installing Multiple Projects In Centralia, IL
A home in Centralia, Illinois, had multiple issues that needed to be addressed. The crawlspace needed to be sealed and stabilized, and the basement had stabilization and water seepage issues. To address the crawlspace, Woods first installed the CleanSpace System to seal and waterproof the space. This system consists of a highly durable sheet of material that will protect against moisture, insects, and humidity. The next install was the SmartJack System. This system consists of custom cut steel beams. They are placed in galvanized fill to equally distribute the weight of the building. They can be tightened over time. This allows maintenance to be done as the ground continues to shift without requiring another costly install. Several of these were placed to reinforce the stability of the floor joists above. With the crawlspace issues resolved, it was time to move on to the homeowner's basement. The first install was a new WaterGuard System to direct water seepage to the sump pump to be removed. The WaterGuard has specialized piping that is installed directly into the floor as to avoid clogging from debris. The next install was a new sump pump. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is a top-of-the-line system, with multiple pumps to ensure that no amount of water is too much to remove. This particular sump also includes the UltraSump Battery. This extra pump will kick on in the event of a power outage, or if the other two pumps can't keep up with the influx of water. Lastly, Woods installed the SmartJack System inside to support the basement floor joists. With these installs in place, the homeowner's stability and water concerns are sure to be alleviated.
