Flooded Basement
The residents wanted to use their unfinished basement for storage, which they couldn't do as long as it was wet.
Cracks in Pavement
The foundation settlement had caused large cracks in the pavement outside the home.
Failed Sump Pump
The sump pump was unable to keep up with the amount of incoming water and needed to be replaced.
Cracks in Foundation Wall
Woods Basement Systems first attempted at closing the wall cracks by installing Push Piers around the outside perimeter of the home. They provide the best opportunity to lift the home back toward its original position, and the have a quick installation time compared to other products.
Push Pier Installation
Push Piers are made of steel and are driven deep into a stable layer of soil. First, a bracket is installed below and against the foundation’s footing. Steel piers are then hydraulically driven through the bracket to bedrock, and the weight of the home is transferred through the piers to the soil below.
Flooded Basement
Woods also installed WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump in order to permanently waterproof the basement and prevent this from happening again.
