As part of a small room addition and 2 car garage, an exterior sump pump was installed in this new home. The basement door stairwell drain and exterior drain tile ties in to this outside sump pump. Because of the need for a reliable sump pump operation a battery back up sump pump is also being installed. This will ensure that any unwanted water will continue to be pumped out, even in the event of a power out tage.

The 1 1/2 discharge sump pump line is connected to the IceGuard and then to a 4 inch drain line leading downhill form the home. The IceGuard allow water once pumped by the sump pump to be expelled to the exterior of the home should the sump pump discharge line ever freeze or otherwise be clogged.
