Waterproofing
This susceptible wet basement was used to water accumulating inside. The homeowner wanted to use this space but knew it wasn't safe to finish before the area was waterproofed.
Leaking Inside
Water would leak in through the cracks that had developed in these walls. Over time these cracks had only widened, allowing more water inside.
Water Damaged
Water can create significant damage quickly if left untreated. Team Woods treated this wet basement by installing WaterGuards into the footing of the walls to collect the water and direct it towards the home's sump pump to be pumped back outside.
Not Functioning Pump
Another waterproofing product Team Woods would soon install is a TripleSafe sump pump. The previous sump pump was unable to handle the demand of water that would leak inside. With the TripleSafe sump pump, this three pump sump will be able to handle over 2,000 gallons an hour.
Cracking
All of the water damage that had developed on the inside of the basement was far from the only area affected. Cracking had also developed on the exterior of the house. Cracking outside can be a serious matter that can lead to structural damage.
Wet Crawl Space
Another area of the home that needed protecting from outer elements like water was the crawl space. This crawl space didn't even have a tarp or vapor barrier to keep water out.
CleanSpace as Solution
To waterproof and further protect this basement, CleanSpace would soon be installed on the floor and walls to completely seal the basement from harm. CleanSpace is made out of inorganic materials to prevent the system from molding if in contact with water.
