Before Work Starts
After the homeowner has moved items to the interior of the basement room, plastic is hung to separate the work area.
Wood Studs Removed
After the drywall is off then the section of the stud wall is also removed.
Drywall and Studs Removed
The lower and smallest amount of the drywall is cut out to install the waterproofing system.
Basement Floor is Opened
Along the perimeter of the basement foundation a small section of the basement floor is removed to install the waterproofing system.
Wall Leaks Controlled
WaterGUARD™ is the perfect waterproofing system to accept and control basement wall leaks. Water leaking down the face of the wall goes into the waterproofing system and it drained to the sump pump being installed in the next room inside a closet.
Waterproofing Under Interior Walls
If the concrete floor can bejack hammered out easily, then the WaterGUARD™ piping system can be slipped under to continue the waterproofing without removing the interior studs or drywall.
Going into the Closet
The system ends and will be hidden inside of the closet in this room. The sump pump is installed with a nearly air tight lid which keeps items form falling into the pump pit and clogging the sump pump. Plus the lid lessens any noise from the sump pump operating.
