Waterproofing in Saint Charles, MO
Challenge
This Saint Charles, MO resident was tired of dealing with a wet basement every time it rained. The basement did not have a proper waterproofing system, so there was nothing to carry the water to the sump pump and out of the home. The homeowner wanted to use his unfinished basement for storage but could not do so because of the incoming water. He hoped that Woods Basement System could solve his basement problems.
Solution
Woods installed WaterGuard and a SuperSump in order to permanently waterproof the basement. WaterGuard is a piping system specifically designed to solve basement water problems without the worry of clogging pipes. It has large holes in the back, and a special wall flange with segments for water to enter through. WaterGuard is engineered not to sit in the dirt, so clogging from silt and sediment under the floor isn’t something the homeowner has to worry about. The WaterGuard system can be installed with all types of foundations including block, poured concrete, and stone.
The WaterGuard system intercepts water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it safely away. Weep holes are drilled into the block walls to drain water out of the walls and into the system. Water enters the system and flows to the sump pump, where it is taken out and away from the home.
The SuperSump includes the most reliable pump available, a WaterWatch alarm system, and an airtight lid. It can pump up to 2,650 gallons per hour smoothly and quietly. It resists clogging and can pump up to ½” solids. The SuperSump is guaranteed to perform reliably for many years.
Both of these products work together to keep the resident’s basement dry all the time.
