Sump pump seems overly expensive, that was the one thing we were told the cost.

The reason for the rating of three is because of the way the sales people are being trained in how to present the cost on a contract. The structure of the contract form is lacking as there is no means of breaking out cost of materials and labor, just a bottom line cost. We had two contracts for the work that was done. There was a change order issued on each of the contracts. As was originally stated, there was no cost break down on the initial contract for materials and labor. The change order issued was only a short statement of the change written on the original contract. Again, there was no break down of cost of materials and labor, making impossible to determine if there was a difference in cost. We have wondered whether we may have over paid with the changes. Bottom line, the way the contracts are written, you are putting yourself in a very good position for arbitration, where as you are putting the customer in a loosing position. I realize that I should have been more aggressive with requiring needed breakdown of cost. However, when people are told that they have problems with their basement, they are not necessarily thinking about the stated concerns, only getting the repairs done.

The reason for the rating of three is because of some needed repairs. First, a hole that was drill through the wall, by the first crew, for the original contracted work was not filled in flush to the inside of the wall. Second, when the first crew came out, they ran over the corner of a short wall at the basement door with the compressor. We did not notice either until after they had left. I mentioned to the second crew the things we found, they made an attempt but did not correct the errors
