In this case, the foundation settled with it. Jeremey designed a solution to restore Mike's foundation.
Foreman Jose L. installed Push Piers. Push Piers are installed at the footing of the foundation. These galvanized steel piers lift the foundation to its original position. Push Piers continue to provide support for the foundation over time. Mike is pleased with his restored foundation, knowing it will not collapse.
Justin H. of Saint Peters, MO had finished his basement but it became apparent that there were leaks behind his finished walls. The hidden leaks from the foundation walls had damaged the wood frames and drywall above and left messes that threatened his belongings stored in the basement so Justin called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Mike T. recommended installing a waterproofing system.
Along the perimeter of the basement, Woods installed the WaterGuard drainage system under the cement floors. WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing so it out of the way of mud that might clog it. It collects water from the foundation walls and floors using its wall flanges and channel holes and then drains it to the sump pump.
The TripleSafe was installed to take the water from the WaterGuard system and pump it out and away from the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains three pumps, including a battery back up pump, so even during severe weather and power outages, the basement is protected from floods.
On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines. IceGuards are specially designed with slotted openings to let water escape into the yard, rather than getting back into the basement, if the lines become frozen during cold winter months.
Justin H. is relieved that his finished basement is now safe from water and he won’t have to deal with anymore messes.
Penny B. of St. Peters, MO had started finishing her basement but a heavy downpour had caused water to seep in and put her plans on hold. She spent hours cleaning and drying out her basement using a store bought dehumidifier. She was worried about what sort of damage would be caused if she finished the basement without doing anything about the water problem so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist inspected her basement and recommended a waterproofing system.
Woods installed WaterGuard under the cement floors around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on top of the footing of the home to keep it from being clogged by mud as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump.
The TripleSafe was installed to pump the intruding water out and away from the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains a primary, secondary and battery back up pump to keep the basement protected from encroaching water, even in severe weather or power outages.
On the exterior of the home, Woods installed IceGuards on the discharge lines. The IceGuards feature slotted openings that allows water to escape to the yard if the lines become frozen so it won’t get back into the basement.
Woods also installed the SaniDry dehumidifier. The SaniDry is as energy efficient as the small, store bought dehumidifier Penny had but it removes much more moisture from the basement air, up to 109 pints in a day. It keeps the relative humidity low in the basement and make the environment less hospitable for mold growth.
Now Penny doesn’t have to worry about water damage or mold growth as she finishes her basement.
Karen and Aaron M. of St. Peters, MO thought they had dealt with their basement water problem when they had a plumber install waterproofing system and sump pump. Unfortunately for them, the pump had been installed improperly which caused it to activate nearly constantly and burn out quickly. It was installed in an open pit which caused the basement to be humid and musty as well as being a tripping hazard. The discharge line from the pump on the exterior of the home appeared to be held together by duct tape. Water was still getting into their basement so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Jake K. inspected the basement and existing system and recommended replacing the old pump, pit and discharge line with a new system.
Woods replaced the old, burnt out pump in the open pit with the TripleSafe pump system. The TripleSafe contains three pumps in an airtight sealed pit that prevents water from evaporating into the basement air. Each pump sits at different levels in the liner so if the primary pump fails or weather is very severe, the secondary will kick in to keep the basement dry. The third pump is a battery back up pump that can pump up to 11,000 gallons of water on its charge if the power goes out.
On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the new discharge lines. There was nothing in place on the old discharge line to prevent water to come back in to the basement when the line become frozen or clogged. IceGuards are specifically designed for this scenario with slotted openings to let trapped water to escape into the yard and not back into the basement.
Karen and Aaron M. are thrilled that their basement water problem is finally taken care of and they can use their basement without worries.
Donna H. of St. Peters, MO had a very leaky basement. She’d tried having leaky cracks in her foundation walls patched to fix the problem but water was still seeping in, damaging her belongings and making a mess. She knew she needed a better solution so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Jake K. inspected the inside and outside of Donna’s basement and found the best solution would be to install a waterproofing system.
WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors, along the walls of the basement. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects water from the foundation walls and wall joints, where water typically gets into the basement, then drains it away to the sump pump for removal.
The TripleSafe sump pump system was installed. It contains three pumps: a primary, secondary and battery back up pump. The pumps get rid of the water collected from the WaterGuard through its discharge lines, even if the power goes out. IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. IceGuards prevent water from coming back into the home if the discharge lines are frozen or clogged by allowing it to escape through its slotted openings.
Donna has peace of mind that her basement will stay dry and her belongings are safe.

Larry and Laura P. experienced severely cracked floors in their garage, driveway, and along the sidewalk around their home. Systems Design Specialist Walter Coleman came to the couple's home to diagnose the problem and design a solution based on their needs. The problem Larry and Laura had originated in the settling foundation. The ground beneath the foundation settled, and the ground beneath the driveway and sidewalk slabs settled, causing them to sink and crack. The best solution for Larry and Laura were to install push piers underneath the garage to raise the foundation back to its original position, and install PolyLevel™ polyurethane foam underneath the sinking slabs to raise them to their original positions.
Working on the push pier installation was José Lorenzana, who installed the push piers under the garage's foundation, raising the foundation up to a level position, preventing any settlement in this area in the future.
The PolyLevel™ installation was completed by William Teter, who drilled the 5/8" holes in the problem areas to inject the foam through the slab to raise the slabs in the garage, the driveway, and the sidewalks. Some areas were risen more than three inches, making a noticeable difference.
Now, Larry and Laura can relax, knowing that their garage's foundation will not sink, and the PolyLevel™ will do its job and support those newly re-leveled slabs.

Foreman Bradley P. installed Geo-Lock wall anchors as a permanent solution to the bowing walls. Geo-Lock straightens the walls and provides support to the foundatin. The basement was also waterproofed with WaterGuard, TripleSafe and IceGuard.
WaterGuard guides water to the TripleSafe sump pump system. TripleSafe is equipped with three pumps to ensure the basement will stay dry. In the event that discharge lines become frozen, IceGuard provides an exit for the water.
Now Robert's basement walls are not only supported, but is basement is dry and will stay dry.
This week Christine B had her fall fixed through Woods Basement Systems by having the Geo-lock Wall Anchor installed to keep her wall from beginning to bow further than it already was. She was concerned about her wall in the past and contacted woods basement systems to do a free inspection of it. Woods Basement Systems sent a specialist to inspect it and thy noticed that the wall had a major horizontal crack than look as though someone had attempted to close it but failed and the crack was becoming larger and larger. The wall also seemed to have a new layer of paint which never fixes and wall from bowing or cracking and the hydrostatic pressure behind the wall is going to keep pushing against it.
When the inspection was complete, Christine had decided to have the Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System installed to close of the crack and any further cracks from forming in the future. The Wall Anchor will help stabilize the wall to prevent and further movement inward and help to straighten it. Woods Basement System sent a production crew Lead by Forman Jeremy Raby to have the system installed correctly. Once installation was finished, the wall was looking dramatically better than it was to originate and Christine was very satisfied and had peace of mind that her basement wall was not going to come down any time in the future. If you or someone you know has a bowing or tilting wall that needs to be realigned, give us a call her at Woods Basement Systems located in Collinsville, IL.

Tim explained to her that the soil underneath her garage wasn’t supporting the weight of the concrete. She could fix this by replacing the entire garage concrete slab, which would be a bit costly and time consuming. Instead, Tim suggested that she does the PolyLevel concrete lifting & leveling process. Mary liked this process because it was faster, more affordable, and best of all, permanent.
Two days later, David Gass and his crew arrived at Mary’s home. The lightweight foam was injected in small holes in various areas throughout her garage floor. In just four hours, the garage floor was back to its original position. Mary is now enjoying her safe & level garage floor and would recommend the PolyLevel process to anyone.
Matthew of Saint Peters, MO noticed the cracks on his basement walls were getting worse. After calling Woods Basement Systems, he scheduled an appointment with system design specialist, Nolan Martz.
After Nolan’s assessment, he explained to Matthew that his walls would continue to crack & eventually start bowing because the foundation soils were causing too much pressure. Nolan informed the homeowner that the Foundation Supportworks Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System would be able to prevent his issue from getting worse. This system appealed to Matthew because it would not use up his basement space, it was fast to install, and it had a 25 year warranty. He scheduled a crew to come the next day.
On November 12, 2013, Foreman Matthew Asher and his crew arrived. In one day, Asher & his crew embedded the anchors outside of his foundation.
