Neoga, IL resident Joy L. was looking to prevent moisture from entering her crawl space. System Design Specialist Luke B. knew exactly how to help. By having Foreman Mike R. and his team install a CleanSpace Encapsulation System, along with a SmartSump, the crawl space would remain clean and dry.

Jim B. of Neoga, Illinois wanted a way to waterproof his basement. Since he had boughten the house 10 years ago, water was entering the basement every time it would rain or storm. The next day he would have to clean up the mess it had made. In recent years it had become so bad that he was not able to store items in his basement because he was worried it would become damaged or wet. He finally decided to call Woods Basement Systems to install a solution to fix his water problem.

Scott of Neoga, Illinois noticed that his crawl space would flood after heavy rains, which derived several other issues. The water in the crawl space also created mold and caused the insulation on the ceiling to fall. Scott called Woods Basement Systems and scheduled an appointment with system design specialist, Lucas B. Lucas looked over the crawl space and recommended a CleanSpace encapsulation system to protect the wet crawl space. 

Head foremen, James L., and his crew installed the CleanSpace system onto the floor and walls of this Neoga, Illinois crawl space. CleanSpace is made out of an inorganic material that creates a vapor barrier which seals the entire crawl space and isn't susceptible to mold growth. Thanks to CleanSpace, now Scott can enjoy his home knowing that his crawl space will be safe for many more years to come!

Chad C. of Neoga, Illinois noticed that a couple of his home's basement walls were bowing and cracking. He did not want the problem to get any worse and cause more damage, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.

Design specialist Kevin E. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install Wall Anchors and PowerBraces. Foreman Bradly P. then headed to the home to get the job started.

Wall Anchors extend from the inside walls of the basement to the hard packed soil outside. The steel anchors prevent further movement and stabilize the basement walls. The PowerBraces are steel I-beams that are fastened to the joists above the wall. It is an adjustable system that can be tightened to help stabilize and straighten walls.

Chad C. no longer has to worry about his home's walls bowing and cracking. His home's basement walls are now stable. 

Chad and Amy C were concerned when they noticed that their basement walls were beginning to bow. So, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Kevin E was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Chad and Amy’s basement. The wall anchor has two ends one will attach to stable soil away from the house. The other end will attach to the basement walls. The device will tighten an overtime be able to straighten the walls.

Chad and Amy C. of Neoga, IL had cracks along their foundation walls. The cracks would leak, staining the walls and damaging the wood framing that was along the walls. They’d tried patching the cracks before but more cracks would form so they called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Kevin E. inspected the foundation walls and recommended a wall support system.

Along the cracked walls, Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract external pressure on the walls by driving galvanized steel anchor rods through the walls and connecting them to earth anchors embedded in stable soil in the yard. Wall plates are connected to the rods on the inside of the walls and the rods are tightened to permanently stabilize the walls in place.

In areas where the yard was inaccessible, PowerBraces were installed. PowerBraces are steel beams that are fitted against the walls and held firmly in place by steel brackets attached to the concrete floors and floor joists above. They are adjustable so they offer the opportunity to improve the walls over time by tightening them during dry periods.

Over the stained, cracked walls, Woods installed CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a durable, thick plastic vapor barrier that prevents moisture from entering the basement and directs it to the drainage system.  WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors, along the wall. It’s a drainage system that will remain free from mud as it drains away water collected from the foundation walls and floors to the sump pump that Chad and Amy already had in place.

Chad and Amy C. have peace of mind that there walls are safe and secure and won’t be damaged any further.

IceGuard provides an exit for water in the event that the discharge lines become frozen or clogged.
