Drew and Laura V. of Lake Saint Louis, MO were looking for a reliable sump pump to keep water out of their basement. System design specialist Nolan M. recommended the TripleSafe. Dave and Molly of Lake Saint Louis had just purchased their home and wanted to get straight to work fixing some of the existing issues. One of the most significant of these was the cracking and bowing of their basement walls. Three of the four were beginning to tilt in at the top, and they wanted to get them fixed as soon as possible.

GeoLock anchors work by drilling small holes in the soil about 8 feet away from the foundation and then sinking anchor plates into the ground. Steel rods then connect these anchors to accompanying plates on the inner face of the basement walls, effectively pulling the wall outwards to its level position. Dave and Molly had 24 of these anchors installed all throughout the basement, and now they have the peace of mind to begin relaxing in their new home!

A Geo-Lock Wall Anchor was installed in Michael’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to stable soil away from the house, and the other will attach to the basement walls. Over time the device will be able to straighten the walls.

Concrete settling happens naturally due to an accumulation of the weight of the concrete over time in addition to an accumulation of the weight of what the concrete is holding up, and does not always settle evenly. The WaterGuard system is placed above the footing and collects any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the basement surface. It is then covered by concrete. The BrightWall paneling system is fastened to the walls of the basement. It provides a vapor barrier, drains leaks behind it, and brightens the room.

Miles and Lynn H. of Lake St. Louis, MO were having problems with a crack in their basement, which was a result of foundation problem. Typically, the four types of cracks that are a sign foundation problems are: hairline cracks, stair step cracks, vertical cracks and horizontal cracks. They decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate to fix the problem.
Systems Design Specialist Adam R. evaluated the situation and determined that having foreman Andrew T. install push piers would be the proper solution. Push piers help lift the load and the weight of the structure, and the weight is then relieved from the unstable soil and to stable ground.
