WaterGuard is engineered to be an efficient, long-lasting interior perimeter basement waterproofing system. The big difference is that the WaterGuard sits on-top of the footing, instead of the alongside of it. This is important because it keeps the wet dirt (commonly mud) from getting into the drain because the drain does not sit in the mud. After the WaterGuard is installed, Mary does not need to worry about leaking and water in her basement ever again.
In Glen Carbon, Illinois homeowner Terri G. wanted to have her home waterproofed. She had been having problems with rainwater entering her home all year and was tired of keeping up with the cleanup. Windows in foundation walls are often weak points for water to leak through. Water will frequently build up in window wells, where it can press against windows, eventually forcing its way into the home through the gaps around the window frame.
To protect the home from damaging leaks like this, Woods Basement Systems can install improved window wells or a WellDuct™. The WellDuct™system works by creating a drain in the window well that travels through the wall and into a covered channel. This channel directs the water down into the perimeter drainage system or sump pump system without letting it leak into the basement. This way, water gets drained away before it can build up in the window well.
Another option is to improve the window well itself. Adding a bed of rocks and a window well cover can prevent water from entering the window well and allow any water that does enter the window well to drain away into the ground beneath the well. This will help keep water out without blocking the sunlight or the view.
Windows in foundation walls can often leak because of water building up in the window well outside. Adding a window well cover is one way to help prevent water buildup while a WellDuct™ can be installed to drain away any water that does build up there.
Michael S. of Glen Carbon, IL. needed a new sump pump. Rather than stick with a single pump system, he upgraded to the TripleSafe™ sump pump system.
The TripleSafe™ is more than just a sump pump, it is three sump pumps packed into a special sump liner with extra features. The TripleSafe™ has a floor drain with a flood alarm which can alert homeowners to leaks entering the sump pump from above, a tough sump liner that allows plenty of water in without letting in debris that might fall into a normal sump and a large battery to keep a pump running.
But these features are extra when considering the amazing pumping power of the TripleSafe™ system. With three pumps, all of which can be active individually or at the same time, the TripleSafe™ can pump out far more water than a single sump pump. Because one of the pumps is battery powered, the TripleSafe™ can even keep pumping out water during a power outage.
Instead of just keeping his basement kind of safe, Michael S. chose to keep his basement triple safe with TripleSafe™.
