Ballwin, Missouri homeowner Jan needed her entrance leveled with her driveway to prevent tripping over the ledge. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist David developed the plan for her. Foreman Matt and his crew injected the PolyLevel and NexusPro in order to get her walkway and driveway back to where they needed to be. The PolyLevel is a eco-friendly expanding foam that will not wash out over time. It is light weight to lift the concrete without adding more weight. The NexusPro will seal seams and cracks while allowing expansion and contraction with weather changes. Jan can now walk without worry of tripping!

Uneven Walkway

The settlement shown here may look minor. However, as it keeps settling it will become more uneven.

Slabs Settling Differently

Since these two slabs were poured at different times, they are settling at different rates. It is possible that the walkway was poured after the driveway and the dirt could not compacted properly because of the driveway slab.

Drop Causing Trip Hazards

This drop off is causing trip problems, especially in snow and ice. It also could cause foundation problems and basement leaking because the water gets into the dirt around the home and sits there instead of draining away from the home.

Gap at Bottom of Garage Wall

The gap at the bottom of this wall has been caused from the concrete settling while the wall stayed stable.

Corner After PolyLevel

Now that this corner is level it not only looks better, but it is also safer.

Walkway After PolyLevel

The PolyLevel is injected through holes smaller than a penny. Once the dust is cleared away and the holes are filled they are less noticeable.

NexusPro in Seams

NexusPro fills the seams and allows for expansion and contraction. It blends in nicely with the color of the concrete. It adds drainage value as well.
