Woods Basement Systems, Inc. has been committed to customer service since we opened in 1986 and are still invested in making sure that your project is done right. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff want to help you find a solution that will work best for you. We use only top-of-the-line products installed by our expert technicians to ensure the best results.
When a basement is not properly waterproofed it can cause all kinds of problems for the rest of your house, including compromising the structural integrity of the foundations. Some of the major warning signs of a waterproofing problem are moisture or puddling, a musty smell, or condensation. These are most often the results of a sump pump failure, leaky pipes, or water flooding in when it rains. One of the first things that can be done is to install a sump pump to eliminate water and safely transport it out of the house.
Additionally, whether or not you are planning on refinishing your basement, waterproof walls and floors are a great option to keep moisture and bugs out without ugly paneling. Our EverLast wall panels are designed to be 197% stronger than regular drywall, be mold and mildew resistant, and do not require paint so they will look beautiful in your home. We also offer basement ceiling installations which are also mold resistant, allow access to ducts, electrical cords and cables, and have a 30-year limited "no-sag" warranty.
The most common symptoms of foundation disrepair, including bowing walls, cracked floors, sagging floors, and cracks in the walls, can seem more complicated than they actually are. These issues can be caused by a variety of things including poor, wet soil. By using products proven and tested to work like wall anchors, jack posts, and PolyLevel® Concrete Leveling System, Woods Basement Systems, Inc. can tackle the problem and find a solution that will work for you.
If you have a patio or sidewalk that has become sunk in or uneven, then PolyLEVEL is the answer to your problem. The PolyLEVEL solution is injected underneath the concrete slab which raises it to the appropriate height. This minimally invasive way of correcting sinking concrete slabs is far preferable to removing the entire slab because it takes less time and is more cost-effective.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to take the water collected by the WaterGuard and pump it out of the basement through its discharge lines. The TripleSafe contains three pumps: a primary pump, a more powerful secondary pump and a battery back up pump. If the primary pump fails or isn’t keeping up with the rising water, the secondary pump will kick in to ensure the basement remains dry. If there’s a power outage, the battery back up pump will keep pumping water pumping out of the basement.
IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines on the exterior of the home. IceGuards have slotted openings prevent water from coming back into the basement if the discharge lines become frozen during the winter months.

Woods discovered that the smell was originating in the crawl space and ventilating up into her home. The homeowner wanted to eliminate all mold and humidity in the crawl space and get rid of the terrible odor.
Woods Basement Systems gave her crawl space a complete makeover by installing CleanSpace and a SaniDry CX. The CleanSpace encapsulation system solved the crawl space moisture problems and prevented mold from growing. The SaniDry worked as a dehumidifier as well as an air filtration system, ensuring that the air in the home was clean and healthy.
The resident was very happy with her now clean and odor-free crawl space.
A Champaign, IL resident was tired of dealing with the headache of having water in his basement every time it rained. The foundation walls had cracks and were slightly bowing, which is where the water would enter into the basement. The sump pump was unable to keep up with the amount of water coming in due to clogged pipes from dirt and debris.
Woods Basement Systems first installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize the walls and prevent them from cracking or bowing any further. Then they waterproofed the basement by installing WaterGuard and a SuperSump. The resident was happy with the work done by Woods and enjoyed having a dry basement all the time.
A Champaign, IL resident decided to have Woods Basement Systems come and give his crawl space a complete makeover in order to eliminate mold, humidity, and odors in his home. Woods installed a SmartSump to fix the water leakage problem in the crawl space before sealing off the crawl space with the CleanSpace encapsulation system. In order to seal out the outside air, CleanSpace vent covers were installed. The transformation was complete with a SaniDry Basement Air System, which not only acts as a dehumidifier, but also as an air filtration system. The resident was very satisfied and now enjoys a clean and dry crawl space!
