These work by connecting heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil far from the foundation to steel plates affixed to the interior surface of the damaged walls, effectively pulling them outward over time. 

Curt W. of Carbondale, Illinois was sick and tired of dealing with leaks in his basement. Whenever it rained heavily, water would stream out of cracks in the walls and pool on the floor, requiring constant cleanup. Curt was eager to have the problem taken care of, so he gave Woods Basement Systems a call. 

In order to waterproof the space, foreman Jeremy and his team installed a WaterGuard drainage system. These gutter-like drains are placed under the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all leaks and prevent them from reaching the basement itself. Stephine of Carbondale, Illinois scheduled an appointment with Woods Basement Systems to waterproof and clean up the water leaks that were found in her basement. System design specialist, Sam W., designed a plan customized to Stephine's basement needs and in this plan, he recommended BrightWall panels and WaterGuard drains. 

 BrightWall panels not only beautify any room but more importantly, they are water-resistant. Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep your home dry in three ways. It includes a primary pump, a secondary pump, and battery-powered backup pump. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it is used to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump in order for it to be removed from the home. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it allows for water to expel from the guards in case pipes freeze or clog due to cold weather.

Foreman, Melvin F. and his crew went straight to work installing these waterproofing products. The TripleSafe sump pump contains three pumps. One main pump and two back up to ensure the sump pump is operating even when the power goes out. The CleanSpace is a vapor barrier encapulation system that ensures no water or mold build up on the walls. Lastly, the IceGuard. The IceGuard is installed on the outside of the home and allows water to expel from the guards in case pipes clog or freeze.

Unlike mudjacking, PolyLEVEL is efficent and eco-friendly. It will not wash away or compress overtime because it does not interact with the soil around it. 

Installed through a hole smaller than a penny, PolyLEVEL only takes a couple of hours to settle before the area can be used again. Commercially, PolyLEVEL is used on highways, airport runways, and train rail beds.

David now has a level driveway, garage, and entrance sidewalk, removing fear of falls and future damage. 

Jennifer K. of Carbondale, IL was displeased with the moldy smell that was coming from the lower level of her home so she gave Woods Basement System a call. 

System design specialist, Jacob K. did an inspection on the home and created a design to resolve the issue. Foreman, Joshua B. did a Cleanspace Encapsulation System installation. The moldy smell is likely due to the mold spores moving into the upper level of the home from the dirt crawlspace. A dirt crawlspace causes a high humidity level which leads to water vapor moving into the upper level as the home. The dampness in the crawlspace also causes mold to reproduce. The Cleanspace consists of a 7-layer liner material that is ran across the floor and up the walls to stop water vapor from coming in. 

Jennifer K. now has a bright, clean, and healthy crawlspace.

The BrightWall paneling system was fastened to the walls of the basement. It acts as a water vapor barrier, drains any leaks that occur behind it, and brightens the basement. The WaterGuard drainage system was placed above the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. It collects and drains any water rising from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump that removes water from the home even when the power goes out.

Chad N. no longer has to worry about any leaks or flooding in his basement. He now has a dry and waterproof home.

Adam B. of Carbondale, Illinois noticed that a couple of his basement walls were bowing. He knew that if he  ignored the problem, further damage and safety hazards could occur. He called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Design specialist Cody M. discussed the situation with the customer and formulated the perfect solution. Soon after, foreman Jeremy R. headed to the home to install eight wall anchors. Wall anchors extend from the inside basement wall to the hard packed soil outside. The wall anchors stabilize the wall and prevent any further movement.

Adam B. no longer has to worry about any further damage or safety concerns. He now has stable and safe basement walls.

Bonnie M. of Carbondale, IL was having problems with the concrete around her home sinking and settling unevenly. Aware of the potential issues, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate.

Systems Design Specialist Peter N. evaluated the situation and informed Bonnie that this can happen naturally over time as the result of the weight of the concrete in addition to the weight of what the concrete is responsible for holding up. Peter also determined that the appropriate solution would be to have foreman Juan H. install PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a foam injection that is simply installed in 4-steps and is designed to lift the concrete back to its original state.

Bonnie M. is now very pleased that the concrete around her home has been restored back to its original state.

A sinking floor is not good for the foundation of a home, however the problem can be fixed. That’s why Ian G called Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Jacob K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Joshua B installed a SmartJack under the portion of sinking foundation. The SmartJack will rest on a layer of stable soil and keep the foundation from sinking any more than it already has.

Ian G. of Carbondale, Illinois noticed that his floor was starting to sag. He did not want to ignore the problem and risk it getting worse, so he called Woods Basement Systems.

Design specialist Jacob K. assured the homeowner that the problem would be taken care of. Soon after, foreman Joshua B. traveled to the home to install a couple of Smart Jacks. Smart jacks are made of steel and are installed in the crawl space to help stabilize and level the floor above.

Ian G. no longer has to worry about his home's floor sagging. His floor is now stable and level thanks to the smart jacks installed in the crawl space.

The foundation walls of Henry L.’s Carbondale, IL home were tilting and bowing. There were long horizontal cracks that spanned across the walls in the areas where the bowing was at it’s worst. Henry was worried about the safety of the walls so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free inspection. Design Specialist Brandon B. assessed the foundation walls and recommended a wall support system.

Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked, bowing walls. External soil conditions put pressure on foundation walls and cause damage like what was happening in Henry’s basement. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract that pressure by connecting wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls to earth anchors embedded in more stable soil in the yard with galvanized steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize the walls in place and can even straighten walls over time by tightening the anchors during dry periods.

Henry L. is relieved that his foundation walls are safe and secure and he doesn’t have to worry about them failing.

Marjorie C. of Carbondale, IL had walls that were bowing in which had causes numerous stair step cracks along the stone bricks of her foundation walls. She was worried that if she left them any longer, the walls would fail so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Brandon B inspected her walls and gave Marjorie a perfectly tailored solution to her problems.

Along one wall of the basement, Geo Lock Wall Anchors were installed. Geo Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls by driving a galvanized anchor rod through the wall and connecting it to an earth anchor that’s buried in the yard. The anchor rod is attached on the inside of the wall to a steel wall plate and then tightened to ensure the wall is held in place and not bow or tilt and further. Geo Lock Wall Anchors can also straighten foundation walls in most cases.

PowerBraces were installed on the other bowing wall in Marjorie’s basement. PowerBraces are used in place of GeoLock Wall Anchors when the yard outside of the wall is inaccessible. PowerBraces reinforce and stabilize bowing walls using corrosion resistant steel beams that are custom fit to the basement walls and attached using steel brackets to the floor joists and concrete floor to hold the wall in place and prevent any further bowing. PowerBraces can also be tightened during dry periods for possible wall improvement.

Marjorie now has the peace of mind that her walls are permanently stabilized and reinforced and she doesn’t have to worry about the bowing any more.
