This Carbondale, IL homeowner needed a little extra wall support and waterproofing in his basement. Team Woods developed and installed the perfect solution for his needs.
In Carbondale, Illinois homeowner Eric S. was having issues with a wet crawl space. His crawl space looked like many other homeowners, with a dirt floor letting moisture into his home. Once he noticed a smell coming into his home above, he made a call to Woods Basement Systems. He was referred to Woods by a friend that had recently had their crawl space sealed and insulated. He wanted a space that was useable for storage without worrying that his items would get wet or damaged. After a free estimate from one of our system design specialists, he was greeted by our foreman Michael R. who sealed and insulated the space in just one day. The Woods Basement Systems team installed a vapor barrier liner on the floors and walls of the space called Clean Space. If any water were to get into space it would be pumped out by our SmartSump system. Homeowner Eric was happy with the work done in the space and was ready to use the new storage area in his home.

Finally, a CleanSpace encapsulation system to the walls to protect them from staining and developing mold.
In Carbondale, Illinois homeowner David U. had a wet basement. The foundation walls of his home were cracked, letting in rainwater from outside of the home. He made a call to Woods Basement Systems to see if they had a solution for his problem. Our foreman Devan Brown and his team waterproofed the basement using CleanSpace and WaterGuard. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement at the floor/wall joint to capture any rainwater. CleanSpace was installed on the walls of the basement to act as a vapor barrier to prevent moisture and mold. After the products were installed, David finally had a dry basement.
In Carbondale, Illinois homeowner Chuck P. was worried about the rainwater that had been getting into his crawl space. His crawlspace was like many basements, with concrete walls and floors. The water would come in through the floor/wall joint and spread out onto the floor of the space. The homeowner was worried about the water damaging the items that were stored in the space, and finally decided to make the call to Woods Basement Systems.
Have you checked your crawl space recently? Many homeowners forget about this small space beneath their home. Crawl spaces can cause a large problem if not maintained by the homeowner. In Carbondale, Illinois homeowner Chuck P. had noticed that water was getting into his space and decided to make the call to Woods Basement Systems. Unlike most crawlspaces, his floor was concrete, like a basement floor. Our foreman Greg Harvie and his team were able to waterproof the space using WaterGuard with a TripleSafe sump pump system.
This incapsulated crawlspace in Carbondale, IL. still had damp, damaging air. The water vapor in the air could still condense on surfaces inside the vapor barrier where it could degrade the wood or feed mold spores that might already be there.
The Sedona air dehumidifier would eliminate this problem easily. The Sedona is a powerful dehumidifier that can remove up to 100 pints of water from the air in a single day. This water is dumped directly into the sump pump so that it can be removed from the crawlspace. Additionally, the Sedona will filter the air, removing mold spores as it removes water vapor, which leads to cleaner air and a cleaner, drier crawlspace.
With the Sedona installed inside this incapsulated crawlspace, the air will be drier, cleaner and safer for the home above it.
Carbondale, Illinois resident Curt W. was nervous about the state of several of his basement walls. Over the years, they had become riddled with large cracks and had begun to bow inward slightly. This damage made Curt worry that, if left unaddressed, they might collapse. He wanted to have the problem taken care of quickly and professionally, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
In order to secure the damaged walls, foreman Miguel and his team installed several GeoLock wall supports. These work by connecting heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil far from the foundation to steel plates affixed to the interior surface of the damaged walls, effectively pulling them outward over time.
Curt W. of Carbondale, Illinois was sick and tired of dealing with leaks in his basement. Whenever it rained heavily, water would stream out of cracks in the walls and pool on the floor, requiring constant cleanup. Curt was eager to have the problem taken care of, so he gave Woods Basement Systems a call.
In order to waterproof the space, foreman Jeremy and his team installed a WaterGuard drainage system. These gutter-like drains are placed under the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all leaks and prevent them from reaching the basement itself. Curt's basement is totally protected from water and he couldn't be happier!
David of Carbondale, Illinois wanted to waterproof his basement after experiencing several water leaks that caused damage. David set up an appointment with Woods Basement Systems to see what repairs could be done to protect his basement from harm. System design specialist, Dave P., worked with David to design a customized plan to waterproof the space.
Team Woods went straight to work installing the new waterproofing products, WaterGuard and TripleSafe. Head foreman, Melvin F., and his team installed the WaterGuard drains into the footing of the basement walls to collect the pesky water leaks that then directs the leaks to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump then pumps the leaks out of the home entirely. With the help of Team Woods, this basement is dry and safe!
Stephine of Carbondale, Illinois scheduled an appointment with Woods Basement Systems to waterproof and clean up the water leaks that were found in her basement. System design specialist, Sam W., designed a plan customized to Stephine's basement needs and in this plan, he recommended BrightWall panels and WaterGuard drains.
BrightWall panels not only beautify any room but more importantly, they are water-resistant. This means that these panels do not only block out water leaks from creating damage but that they also won't produce mold. Along with the BrightWall panels, WaterGuard drains were also installed. WaterGuard drains are installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect the pesky water leaks and direct the water to the sump pump. This system is necessary to direct water out of the home.
Head foreman, Juan H., and his crew installed both of these top-waterproofing products. Thanks to the BrightWall panels and WaterGuard drains, these products will help turn this previously leaky basement into a clean, dry space that Stephine can finally use for storage!
Milton M. of Carbondale, Illinois was looking to do some preventative waterproofing work, so he decided to call woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Luke B. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, a WaterGuard system, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep your home dry in three ways. It includes a primary pump, a secondary pump, and battery-powered backup pump. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it is used to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump in order for it to be removed from the home. IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and it allows for water to expel from the guards in case pipes freeze or clog due to cold weather.
Now Milton M. will have a dry basement.

Foreman Andrew T. and his crew installed PolyLEVEL under the concrete to raise it back to the original position. PolyLEVEL is a perfect solution because it is light weight but extremely sturdy. Unlike mudjacking, PolyLEVEL is efficent and eco-friendly. It will not wash away or compress overtime because it does not interact with the soil around it.
Installed through a hole smaller than a penny, PolyLEVEL only takes a couple of hours to settle before the area can be used again. Commercially, PolyLEVEL is used on highways, airport runways, and train rail beds.
David now has a level driveway, garage, and entrance sidewalk, removing fear of falls and future damage.
Jennifer K. of Carbondale, IL was displeased with the moldy smell that was coming from the lower level of her home so she gave Woods Basement System a call.
System design specialist, Jacob K. did an inspection on the home and created a design to resolve the issue. Foreman, Joshua B. did a Cleanspace Encapsulation System installation. The moldy smell is likely due to the mold spores moving into the upper level of the home from the dirt crawlspace. A dirt crawlspace causes a high humidity level which leads to water vapor moving into the upper level as the home. The dampness in the crawlspace also causes mold to reproduce. The Cleanspace consists of a 7-layer liner material that is ran across the floor and up the walls to stop water vapor from coming in.
Jennifer K. now has a bright, clean, and healthy crawlspace.
Elizabeth D. of Carbondale, IL noticed that water was coming into her basement when a rainfall would occur, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate when she became aware of the future and potentially serious issues this could cause.

He assessed the scene and decided that the appropriate solution would be to have foreman Melvin F. waterproof the basement.by installing Twin Pack sump pump, IceGuard and WaterGuard. All of these products keep the basement dry by working with one another.
Since the waterproofing of Elizabeth's basement, she is no longer fearing rain in the forecast.
Chad N. of Carbondale, Illinois was shocked when he found that water was collecting in his home's basement. He did not want to have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain shower, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided that the best plan of action was to install a WaterGuard drainage system, a BrightWall paneling system, and a TripleSafe sump pump. Foreman Ryan L. headed to the home to get the job started.
The BrightWall paneling system was fastened to the walls of the basement. It acts as a water vapor barrier, drains any leaks that occur behind it, and brightens the basement. The WaterGuard drainage system was placed above the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. It collects and drains any water rising from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump that removes water from the home even when the power goes out.
Chad N. no longer has to worry about any leaks or flooding in his basement. He now has a dry and waterproof home.

Peter also determined that the appropriate solution would be to have foreman Juan H. install PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a foam injection that is simply installed in 4-steps and is designed to lift the concrete back to its original state.
Bonnie M. is now very pleased that the concrete around her home has been restored back to its original state.

The foundation walls of Henry L.’s Carbondale, IL home were tilting and bowing. There were long horizontal cracks that spanned across the walls in the areas where the bowing was at it’s worst. Henry was worried about the safety of the walls so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free inspection. Design Specialist Brandon B. assessed the foundation walls and recommended a wall support system.
Woods installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked, bowing walls. External soil conditions put pressure on foundation walls and cause damage like what was happening in Henry’s basement. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract that pressure by connecting wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls to earth anchors embedded in more stable soil in the yard with galvanized steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize the walls in place and can even straighten walls over time by tightening the anchors during dry periods.
Henry L. is relieved that his foundation walls are safe and secure and he doesn’t have to worry about them failing.

She was worried that if she left them any longer, the walls would fail so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Brandon B inspected her walls and gave Marjorie a perfectly tailored solution to her problems.
Along one wall of the basement, Geo Lock Wall Anchors were installed. Geo Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls by driving a galvanized anchor rod through the wall and connecting it to an earth anchor that’s buried in the yard. The anchor rod is attached on the inside of the wall to a steel wall plate and then tightened to ensure the wall is held in place and not bow or tilt and further. Geo Lock Wall Anchors can also straighten foundation walls in most cases.
PowerBraces were installed on the other bowing wall in Marjorie’s basement. PowerBraces are used in place of GeoLock Wall Anchors when the yard outside of the wall is inaccessible. PowerBraces reinforce and stabilize bowing walls using corrosion resistant steel beams that are custom fit to the basement walls and attached using steel brackets to the floor joists and concrete floor to hold the wall in place and prevent any further bowing. PowerBraces can also be tightened during dry periods for possible wall improvement.
Marjorie now has the peace of mind that her walls are permanently stabilized and reinforced and she doesn’t have to worry about the bowing any more.
